LOL Invite Bug

I am on a ranked 3's team that just recently was promoted to plat 5. In SoloQue I am silver, and my DuoQue partners are silver as well. Once my team was promoted, I could no longer invite certain partners because apparently I was "plat" and he was 2 leagues bellow me.
