[GAMEPLAY] Twitch E animation going through, but it doesn't do damage.

LITTLE STORY: So recently there was a post on /r/twitchMains (https://www.reddit.com/r/TwitchMains/comments/4i1kur/breaks_my_heart_everytime/) where somebody got a bug with Twitches E, where the animation went through but didn't deal damage to the target. If you mained Twitch you will experience this bug from to time to time, unfortunately my first time was in my first ranked game and got me killed. This bug hasn't ever been documented this good so i decided to test it and provide some consistency.

HOW THE BUG WORKS:

  1. Twitch E range indicator is a bit smaller than the actual range (http://plays.tv/video/572c0859e79eece3b4/twitche-e-range-bugged-)

  2.   3. Also if an enemy flashes out of Twitches actual E range the damage won't go though. (didn't get a video we tried it once and failed, it was 4:20am and the guy wanted to sleep, but this is exactly what happened in my ranked game I will never forget that.)

HOW TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:

  1. Pick twitch and an enemy..
  2. Get the enemy on the edge of twitch E's actual range.
  3. Both walk in the same direction and you E when you (Twitch) think the enemy will walk out of your E range by the time your e has finished casting.

With correct timing you can probably reproduce it 100% of the time.

a similar thing happens when you use contaminate as the poison times out.

it would go something like this:

  1. attack an enemy as twitch to apply the poison.
  2. wait for the poison to almost time out, then press e so that the projectile will be flying when the poison actually times out.
  3. E deals no damage but costs the mana and goes on cooldown.

this shouldn't be possible for a skill that can't "miss" (not counting getting blocked by braum shield or windwall).

its kinda similair to how the old cassiopeia (and i mean the very first one, not the previous reworked one) had the same issue with her E and poison where it didnt reset if the poison ran out mid-flight

i reckon if they applied similair detection to the twitch poison as they did to the cassiopeia poison this could be fixed pretty easily

Giving this a bit of a bump, as Riot fixed the other reported Twitch bug (insta-stealth), but have not commented about this one, which is an arguably worse one.

While it likely would not have mattered much in that case, I can only imagine how many kills are missed due to Contaminate's buggy behavior.

Hope this one gets noticed too, even a simple "We'll look into it" would be nice.

I've seen this happen from time to time too. I just thought it was a gimmick of his kit and more of an annoyance than anything serious.

Hopefully they'll take a look at Kennen as well, as his W does the same thing.
