Game Freezes on MAC

Hello. Recently when I play league the client freezes occasionally when I'm in game for around 3minutes or sometimes when I'm loading into Summoner's rift. I could not force quit or switch to other applications although my cursor did move, so the only thing I could do is to restart my computer every time but the issue happens again and again. I am getting annoyed by this and I'm not sure whether this is a problem related to me only or some people are also having this issue. I'm running LOL on MBP with OS Yosemite 10.10.2.

I am running mac 10.9.5 and also having exactly the same problem with u. I tried everything in the support website https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974-Bug-Splat-and-Game-Crashes#section-mac but no improvements could be seen.

I've had similar problems, haven't been able to isolate the problem in console. If it does happen again, I'll try to come back to this post and paste what I've got.

Having the same problem as you guys are experiencing for patch 5.5. Instances where it would freeze at loading screen and would require me to use "command + option + esc" and try to reconnect again. I would get in game but after a while I would freeze again, audio is running but screen would just freeze, I get minimum freezes and crashes of 3-5 per game (depending on longevity of gameplay). I tried to observe it but have not gotten any conclusions to it... it happens randomly, not just in team fight but also when I'm roaming or just in lane.

Not to mention that my ping substantially sky rocketed since patch 5.4 which made me stop playing it as I wait for the new patch hoping it'll get fixed but 5.5 made it worse in my opinion. High ping ranges now from 300 - 900, FPS dropped a lot from 60-90 to 30-45 and the most annoying of all, in-game freezes and crashes.

Whenever I toggle Sona's music it won't show the animations anymore because of the fps drop, really quite weird. I tried setting everything on low but still no success over it.

I tried repairing it thrice now and it still does the same thing. I haven't played that much since patch 5.4 until now or if do so want to be brave about it, I do a custom game first and try things out but unfortunately the same thing still happens.

Basically the things I've noticed since patch 5.4 from playing regularly:

  • High Ping
  • FPS Drop
  • In-Game Crashes / Freezes

*Also using Macbook Pro (OS X Yosemite 10.10.2)

Have had the same issue running OS Mountain Lion on 2012 MBA. Has happened 3 times in 2 different games so far.

Im having the same problem Also using Macbook Pro (OS X Yosemite 10.10.2) Game freezes at random times throughout game, and does not allow me to minimize or force quit LoL, so i have to restart computer. I now have to wait 20 minutes in between games because of the AFK status i get for being absent from the game for so long. Wasn't sure if it was just me or my computer so i actually restored my computer back to factory settings, wiping all data from my mac. Reinstalled league so that it was literally the only thing not stock on my computer to see if that would help.... first game i played froze at 21 minutes...

PLEASE help us Riot, i know you're support is focused on PC but please fix this freezing issue.
