"Difference in rank" is calculated by highest role instead of selected role.

I thought I would be able to play with my friends in roles that I'm not too good at, such as support and top, I can't because my jungle is diamond. I dont see why this would be intended... I would hope that it calculates this based on selected roles.

Screenshots: Friend is in gold 1 btw.

I would have to assume it's intended to help counter boosting.

I honestly believe they didn't really touch this code at all it probably taps into some generic rank variable, instead of specifically aiming for highest rank, so who knows if it's intended or not. Kinda sucks to not be able to play with my gold/plat friends when my other roles are nowhere near my jg/adc.

I think that is probably the most likely reason for it to get changed back. If it feels bad to players and they can't get it to an acceptable state they'll probably change it rather than losing too many players.
