Unable to play with a certain friend

I am able to play a game by myself and with other friends but when I play with a certain friend even if we are in a group the game crashes when loading in. When playing in a group with other friends and the certain friend I am the only one that is unable to load into the game properly without having to switch computers, Tried reconnecting but every time I try it crashes and a bugsplat window appears. I closed the application and restarted it and it immediately launches into the game but then crashes again and I am left in client with it saying game in progress with no option of reconnecting. I did everything the support site says to do when the game crashes but every time I want to play with the same friend the game continues on crashing in the loading screen. Logged in with a different computer and played with the same friend and the game started fine. (The other computer is an older version of the one I am using.) Unsure if it has something to do with the game itself or if it is my computer. The computer that I use is a mac.
