It's happening on more than one occasion now where I will queue for a game and when I click to enter champion selection the client will crash. When this happens I will reopen the client and I'll have a waiting period because of this. It's annoying and I don't like having to wait everytime i want to play a game.

You are not the only one - I've filed a ticket on this as well. (It's basically a revisit of the 5.5 and 6.5 black screen bugs.) Not risking ranked play until I know it is fixed.
