weird dc bug??

so I was playing my game, all was going well, when all of a sudden i got dced. It was maybe 30 seconds until i relaunched the client to go back into the game. When the client launched I was not greeted with a reconnect button, but I was able to start a new game. on op.gg the game was still going on. Im a little confused by this and wondering what went wrong.
