Unable to change summoners in champ select

Today this bug occured to me in champion select, i was unable to change my ignite to smite which made me jungle without being able to smite ofcourse and losing the game(ranked). At the beginning of champ select i got the message of connection failure but i reconnected instantly and then the problems started....i switched my champion and could switch my runepage and changed my summoners, although i saw the smite icon and flash icon at the main screen the icons next to my champ stayed on ignite and flash, so even though i was selecting smite it didn't want to change at all :(.
