my social status has not been reconnecting for the past 3 days

"you have been disconnected from chat,attempting to reconnect"this is the thing i see on my friends list every time i have logged in for the past 3 days and its seriously annoying since i know this has been happening to my friends as well and riot hasnt put anything on their server status page or any where,i have already tried reinstalling and i knwo its not case of my internet if anyone know how or when this is going to be fixed pls do tell
