Beta Client not updating/File Corruption message

A while ago I tried going back to the legacy client from the beta client and succeeded, but whenever I try to go back to the beta I get a message saying my files are corrupted and I have to completely reinstall league of legends. After the most recent time I've tried this I waited a while before reopening the button that upgrades the client to the beta, and found both options were gone, so is the client upgrading or is it going to not upgrade and when I try to log into league, will it say my files are corrupted and will I have to completely reinstall and patch league?
