Unable to join Champion Select? Blank screen.

Everytime I get into champion select, it's completely blank but I can still hear the time ticking down until I eventually just get kicked then proceed to get a pentalty.

Anyone with the same issues? Anyone with any suggestions as to what to do to help this?

I'm a new player and am very confused if this is my problem or riot's client one. [zombie-brand-mindblown]
