I can my teammate's champ VO?

Alright so yesterday I was playing Jhin ADC, and for some reason whenever Azir warded I would hear Azir's VO lines for warding. It didn't matter where I was on the map, it happened every time he warded. This confused me beyond belief, especially since Azir's lines replaced one of Jhin's beautiful lines!
