stuck at 33%
[Client]The recent patch has been stuck on 33% and endlessly scanning files. Is restarted my computer and closed league twice. No progress has been made. Help plz?

I had the same issue last patch. Try reinstalling the game - worked for me.
The same happens to me nearly every patch... I have to fix my client in the settings on the launcher screen...
guys, i had the exact same problem and it scanned up to 8k files, until i found a video on youtube explaining how to fix the problem. I dont know if im allowed to post the link so i will just tell you what I did.
- in your game files navigate to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.113 (so click rads folder click projects etc untill you get to 0.01.113)
- copy and paste releasemanifest,
- open the copy using notepad, edit -> select all, and delete everything
- close the file and rename S_OK
- open your launcher and get back to playing some LoL
i was downlading files for an hour then i tried this and i got in in less than a minute, try it it works.
It is fine now I don't know what was the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it was stuck at 250 or something at okbps. Its ok now.
I had the same problem but i have a mac so there was no way to fix it but to entirely redownload league :(

LOL - like this is a new problem, there are 3 year old threads on the good forums about this. I (like every single patch) am experiencing this also.

im at about 150493 files and those other comments about deleting files do not help.
After fighting with it for 4 plus hours stuck at 33%, all i did was switch to the oceanic server and then switched back, IT FIX'D the problem lol
I've recently had a simliar problem with getting stuck at 33% and endlessly scanning files. (Windows 7) Like over 15k+ files. I noticed that this is usually the cause when you are in the middle of patching and suddenly while patching, it drops to 0kps and you rage quit and exit the patcher. I honestly don't know what the problem is, but for me I believe it was just my internet and connection.. (trying to patch at school LOL) but I've read in recent forums that people have really good internet and have dropped to 0kps. While patching today, it was pretty steady until after 33%. It kept going from 0kps-300kps and then dying back down. I thought if I let it wait it would patch eventually. It did move at 0kps though. it moved 1% every 2 hours but I gave up after that. I'm not really sure the problem is for 0kps so I can't really help there.
But for the endlessly scanning files I discovered that if you delete some folders in the league folder. Deleting the stuff in (RADS/solutions) and the folder lol_launcher (RADS/projects) and then try patching again. It will probably take a while and it will continue to scan files. But I took note that the League of Legends folder is about 24k files. Check properties, and henceforth if you are scanning over 24k files, clearly something is wrong. I've had this issue before and and deleted the 2 things i mentioned earlier + lol_game_client (I believe, not quite sure) and left if over night to patch again. And when I woke up it was ready to go! It may scan for quite a while, couple o hours, then it whould be able to patch soo an extra half hour or so. I'm scanning right now and I'm at 12k files. Gonna leave it for the night and see the outcome tomorrow morning. I'll post if mines functional or not.

UpdateI didn't leave it on for the night cause my computer went to sleep. So I had to resume it when I woke up. It finally finished! After 5 hours of scanning and patching. Jeeez. So it ended up scanning around 30k files for me. I don't get it but after that it started patching again... While it was patching, it dropped to 0kps a few times, but it got back up a bit later. Well, note is that DO NOT CLOSE YOUR CLIENT WHEN PATCHING. IT WILL HONESTLY **** IT UP. Give it some time.
guys i found solution go to EuNu server and download the patch and install it and then on patching time change region to NA then continue if it's stuck on 79% 242Mb just leave it i will finish automatic just wait and it will disapear and press lunch have fun
20 minutes, and 2500 files later.... still waiting to play this messed up and broken game....

Had the same problem. When it starts to patch just change your server location and language and let it start to load for a few seconds then change it back to your proper server and language and it will start to load properly. Trust me this does work, i just did it now.

my computer is doing the same thing right now, ive been trying to get it to load up for a few days, currently its at 33% scanning 1200+ files. its gone up to 3400 files before i restart it. i tried to fix my client in the options but eventually it stops fixing at the 33% bug returns. any reds wanna update with a fix?
The amount of files to scan is somewhere right above 14k-15k files. Just to give people a frame of reference.
Ok, So I have been going through this problem for the past 2 DAYS!!!! I have been mentally going crazy so basically I have tried out changing the region, re-installing it but yea those didn't work out. FINALLY I come across a SOLUTION - WHICH ACTUALLY WORKKKSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is only for windows tho - so basically you go to your C Drive, Riot Games, League Of Legends, RADS, Projects, lol_game_client, and delete the 'filearchives' folder. Then open League Of Legends and wait...and then you get started from 33%
