When you to your profile, you see your banner and below that there are a couple of things: the chests that you can win with S- or higher, the boosts and your ARAM progress. I got a couple of games a S- or higher, but I don't get any chests. Is this a bug or can you win these only with draft and blind pick?

The other guys info is slightly off for a few key things.
You can only earn a chest once for a champion per season.
Queue type usually doesnt matter, as long as its not bots. Because ive earned chests for aram games.
but if you already got a chest for the champ youre playing you wont get one.
You also get one chest per week, not day.
I believe that you get 1 chest every 24 hours so make sure it reseted, you get it for S or higher, and you can't earn a chest for the same champion until the season resets this is from riot official website "Once you earn a chest from achieving S rank on a champion, you won’t be able to earn another with that champion until the beginning of the next season" and no the game mode does matter.
