Kicked out of Game and Couldnt Reconnect

So I recently was in a ranked game doing my regular thing and received a random "reconnecting" error. I closed the client and when i reopened i was unable to reconnect to my game. I was just in the regular play screen and could even Que up for more games. The game did not appear on my match history so im unsure what the problem is or how to prevent it from occurring in the future.
