Clicking a Link in League opens an unusable Chrome window

Title says it all, basically, when I open league and click a link and have no browser window open, an unusable Chrome window opens that doesn't load as well as every extension has a crashed message. I've found that if I have a chrome browser window already open and click a link, that the link opens as normal. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? I'll post a screenshot of what happens when I click one without Chrome open.
