Azir ulti interaction with yasuo windwall

So i've been playing azir recently (mastered him and got the rank 5 badge) and i noticed this first while playing urf, yasuos windwall prevents azirs ultimate wall from blocking champs, i played another game in normals where there was an enemy yasuo again, and this happened two times in the match, is that supposed to happen? i mean is it a bug or that was how it was designed to be?

Azir's soldiers are coded like Orianna's ball (Minions), so their movement is stopped dead by a windwall, but the soldiers themselves aren't destroyed.

Intended interaction.

you mean the W soldiers or the ulti soldiers?

Both soldier types.

Azir Q and R are both stopped by Yasuo's windwall and Braum's Unbreakable.

Thoughts on Taliyah's ult interaction? Yasuo windwall is blocking terrain and a champion dash both of which seem counter-intuitive to how windwall works with other abilities.

she only "dashes" because she is riding the wall. if the wall gets stopped then she should as well.

i don't see what's so counter intuitive about that.

But why is terrain creation stopped in this case but not other cases? The terrain isn't traveling anywhere, the illusion that the leading edge is moving is a wave velocity not particle velocity (if you're familiar with modern physics parlance). Each part of the wall isn't traveling anywhere, its stationary so why is it stopped at all?

Is it removing the parts of the ult that hit it or is it just letting people move through it if they pass the windwall?

No, the windwall prevents the individual soldiers summoned by Emperor's Divide from moving forward after spawning. They still appear and function as impassable terrain, their shove just ends at the wind wall.

Oh, well that's how it's supposed to work.
