[CLIENT] Hex tech key & Chest disappearing

In the new client, in the loot tab, I crafted my 3 key frags together and then opened a chest and the game crashed and gave me nothing. I got no notification, just froze at the chest item with the "OPEN" button activated. Still lost both key and chest

  1. In loot menu, select 3 key frags
  2. Crafted them together formed key
  3. Quickly selected chest, let the animation load, then immediately selected open
  4. Client froze mid-opening and couldn't select anything else on the client

I thought nothing of it when it first froze, I've experienced lag in the client before, but this time, it froze and didn't move. I waited a solid 3 minutes, but got nothing in return. I couldn't select any other options or tabs and could only exit out. I hoped to still get whatever loot (a skin, champ shard, ANYTHING), but I got nothing. My key and chest both were used but I got nothing back. I just needed a little more blue essence to get my Xayah skin shard permanent. ;(

Can confirm, the box opening froze for me too, but the client froze, didn't crash. If you go to another page (home/profile/etc) and back to loot, the chest and keys are used up but no item. You lose items if its opening and a join queue message pops up before the loot is displayed too. RIP 6 keys.

This happened to me as well, crafted 6 key shards together to make 2 keys, then went to open my chest and froze after the animation of the box opening, i clicked the home tab and then went back to the loot tab and received nothing, i still had another key and chest and opened that one and it worked, i got a Malphite Champ shard, so i don't understand why it froze the first time but didn't the second time.

The real question is, will we ever get the key and box replaced? or have we lost them for good..?

I too had this same issue yesterday. Unfortunately I believe it is bugged now because I can't do anything with the loot that I already have. After the chest and key disappeared I found out that I can't combine the other shards I already have. Now I don't know what to do.
