[BUG] Connection Problems and Firewall Issues.
To clarify, I'm not entirely sure if this is a LOL problem of mine, but I thought I might as well post about this since I already ran through the trouble of verifying everything that I know of in my pc.
I just patched today since I hadn't had the chance to play in a week or so, even though I'd just bought Quinn. I decided to play my first non ARUF match with her, and problems started happening.
The first 5 minutes went okay but suddenly I got frozen in place and a sign that said attempting to reconnect appeared. Eventually, I got a black screen and a small pop up window informing me that they were unable to re-connect me and that I please verify my connection.
I panicked a little since I have already spent my "Don't disconnect during a match or we'll ban you" freebie; After attempting to re-connect by re-starting the client I got a windows pop-up where LOL was asking for permission to connect within private and public networks. I clicked yes, and problem solved, i was able to join the match, although I had lagged too much behind and we forfeited.
It's worth mentioning that after this re-start, a quick "patch" window appeared, although it only had 0.2 M to download
I thought it was understandable that the firewall settings be different with a new patch and privacy policies being updated all around. However, I still ran an antivirus check, re-started my modem and re-started my pc just to be sure. When I tried to play again, everything seemed to be going okay: I got as far as the end of the loading screen before I got disconnected again, this time without even getting into the game. I tried and tried to re-connect to this match but no pop-up or anything appeared when re-logging in or anything. After the team presumably re-rolled I was able to access the normal client and not the usual "game is still in progress window". I got curious, went to check the firewall and sure enough, only 2 LOL instances were allowed a private network access.
I allowed LOL private access, clicked "OK" and re-started my pc, I went to check again, and sure enough, LOL had no access again.
I don't know if there is a problem on my end or in RIOT's, but I thought I'd post this in case it's on RIOT's.
FWY I'm running the Hexatech tool to find any issues, just to be sure.
