Talisman of Ascension cancels Rammus roll

Reporting this bug for a friend. When he plays rammus he usually buys talisman of ascension. In the past when using powerball + the active ability on talisman of ascension he would gain the speed boost without canceling powerball. Now, the active cancels powerball. Is this a result of changing the talisman passive?

It's because Power ball is now a channel(I don't know why they would make it one) and doing anything like activating items will cancel channels.
