Patch 7.23 Lag

I'm having lag issues with the new patch, I usually run a flat 40 ms all of the time. But now it fluctuates between 140-180 ms, I'm wondering if there is a fix or should I just wait it out until they fix it.

run hextech repair tool. they just fixed the issue with fps lag in the new patch so i doubt there is gonna be another fix till next patch. im getting a steady 52 ms so it has to be something on your end.

Sounds like your connection to the game servers isn't stable, resulting in high & fluctuating pings.

I have been experiencing lot of delay after the new patch. First of all, it can take up several minutes to connect to the game (game has been going on for like 3 minutes, not really nice) and during the game there have been at least three or four longer lag spikes (from 10 seconds to 25 seconds at a time). This has happened to me in every game that I've played after update. Now I know that this can be related to MY connection but it started after the update and my networks has been running quite smoothly (lots of streaming etc).

And! Same issue that I already had with earlier patch (maybe 7.21 or 7.20) is back. When I try to connect to the game, it indicates an error of my network. And it takes several tries to get in. This was previously resolved by re-installing the game but is this gonna happen with every update since this has been ongoing issue for me with several patches.

Hey there,

Sounds like there's something (perhaps a firewall or antivirus software) blocking your connection to the servers. Run through the steps linked here and let me know if your issue improves or not.

Hey Splash Damage!

Thanks for your piece of advise. I assume that DNS was the problem for me. After I did the step

"Put in the following public DNS servers, one in each empty field:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4"

the game started to work normally. No crashes during load up, no lag. I'll keep on monitoring the issue but I think this was the root cause of my issue.
