Vel'Koz Q Bug! [Gameplay]

Quick description There seems to be a bug where sometimes when using Vel'Koz's Q (Plasma Fission), there seems to be an invisible object (almost right in front of him) blocking his Q from going the full course that it should until there is a minion/monster or champion in the way. I was able to replay and take pictures to show one instance.

How exactly I noticed it At the first few times that I used the Q and this happened, I thought it was maybe just because there was a minion I somehow didn't notice in the way that it wouldn't go it's full path. This happens from time to time (like once or twice per game) when I play Vel'Koz because of trying to aim at enemy through minions or right as minions die. After I noticed that it kept happening, I was frustrated thinking that I was tilted... Then I realized I didn't see any gold when Q suddenly kept stopping not even half way, so it didn't make sense. I then thought it might be a bug. Then I was finally able to figure out how to replay game, so I can now see it was definitely a bug of some sort.

Step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue

  1. Vel'Koz in 5v5 Summoner's Rift Normals with Arclight skin
  2. just try to Q as much as possible towards champion or minions while there are other minions around, maybe even nothing else around

Final words It happened AT LEAST like 10 times in game from what I noticed. Very frustrating considering I would have killed Yi sooner in just the first 3 minutes of the game. But don't worry, I still got first blood :)

I just played a few games with Arclight, didn't notice this happening. Are you sure you're only hitting Q one time to cast the ability? Maybe there's another issue with your keyboard or something that's immediately re-casting (ending) the Q as soon as you cast it. Just a thought.

I've had this happen over and over again, dozens and dozens of times, so can confirm this. It's nothing new, years i guess. Today I had the thought, let's check if i'm doing something wrong or missed some limitation or info about his Q, and noticed this post. I've had several moments where, when chasing someone and seeing that only an available flash + q would do the trick (e.g. just before having to dive a tower), I gloriously press F Q feeling like a god, only to see my F fail in blank space.
