[Crash] Mac Completely Freezing Computer Every Game

I have a problem! My games will, almost immediately (a few minutes in), completely freeze up. The music will continue, but I can't even force quit out of it. I have to restart my computer... and even once I reconnect, it does the same thing again. I've also had the issue of it freezing like this while loading (it happened four times in a row before I finally got into the first game I had this problem with). It is literally unplayable. I'm hoping this is just an issue for my computer that can be easily fixed... but from what I've read, it sounds like this has been a reoccurring issue.

OSX version 10.9.5, Macbook Pro, 2013 (I think). No idea what graphics chipset means... but I'm assuming it's graphics, which says Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB. It's only been team builder 5v5 so far, but that's because I've only played three of those before I gave up (I tried playing two in a row ... smurf and normal account ... and then tried another today). It's crashed every time, immediately. I'll try a normal match-up and see if the issue continues...

My summoner name is devicia, by the way, if anyone knows a solution to this and wants to message me directly on league. ^^

You're not alone, there are several similar threads in Report a Bug. I've been experiencing it mostly since Friday the 21st or so. Seems most of the sufferers are using Yosemite, though it seems to span all versions of OSX.

The only way I could close it without a hard restart was to run Activity Monitor in a 2nd monitor and force quit it from there. I haven't seen a single red post concerning any OSX issues with the 4.20 patch, which I have to say is a bit disappointing.
