Annie Abilities Don't Stun After She Dies

As Annie, if you have your stun up and then throw out a q and die before it hits the ability does not stun. This happens regularly and every time. I don't remember this ever happening when I used to play her. In one game I even died as I was throwing out tibbers and he did damage and was summoned but never stunned.

I don't know if that is how the mechanic is supposed to work but I would assume not.
