Counter-Surrender Results in Loss for Winning Team

Enemy team surrendered, then my team started our surrender vote after seeing them agree to surrender in chat. My allies all voted yes to surrender.

As the camera panned to the enemy nexus to spell victory for us, the camera did a switcheroo and went 100 mph towards our nexus and spelled our defeat.

Can I have my LP back?

This is by design.

But I've never seen this incredibly frustrating practice used in a Ranked game.

I would submit a ticket to support to see what they do about it.

Think of it like stacking spells in magic the gathering, If your instant is at the top of the stack it resolves first. if you dont play magic this will make 0 sense and I'm sorry for being a nerd.

That sucks dude, I'm not sure what could be done about that, I guess you could submit a support ticket and they might fix it for you, but it's kind of a super rare edge case.

You guys are dumb. Don't know what else to say...

I would guess it's one of two things: They surrendered 4-0 and you surrendered 5-0? So it decided you would lose instead since they were technically waiting on one vote, even though the outcome was predetermined so you saw the result. Or the game just always causes you to lose in that case if the defeat screen doesn't come up before the game would start panning to your nexus.

Either way - you all voluntarily surrendered. So you lost. No one made you do it.

I think it's whoever's nexus blows up second (once a nexus blows up the game is over).

Here's a thought. Don't be stupid in ranked. Don't dance around the enemy nexus, don't surrender at the end. Don't chase kills across the map through an unwarded jungle.

It's all common sense.
