I recently just won a game, afterwards, the stats for that game did not load, so I then proceeded to skip waiting for them. Shortly after, League crashed. I log back in and it says I have to reconnect, but yet, there's no game to reconnect to. Me and my friend are on Skype and the same thing happened to him and we're in the same game. Summoner Names: "BlazinSnowOP" and his is "JDLX".
The waiting time could be anywhere from 2-6 hours.
"It sounds like you experienced what we refer to as a ghost game. It is caused when the game server you were playing on fails to communicate the game-end message to PVP.Net.
The ghost game will last a maximum of 2 hours after this occurs. It often ends much earlier because the game server is simply backed up. Sometimes this issue can be fixed by relogging into League of Legends. Occasionally, restarting your computer may help. These actions force the client to request a new update.
Another side effect of the Ghost game is a delay with receiving your Influence Points, Experience or ELO. Once the game "clears" the server, these values will be updated on your account accordingly.
If the issue persists or occurs frequently it may indicate a problem with your connection. If this is the case, I would be more than happy to help you find the cause. If it was just this a one time occurrence, it was likely due to a delay in our server.

Same here. The client says they're preforming live network maintenance and we may experience brief service disruptions.
This happens when there's a serious server delay (which may happen due to a hardware malfunction, software issue...anything that can happen to a computer that makes it cease functioning) - on your end, the game has ended, but the server doesn't know that yet, as the last information that it prosessed was something that happened ingame. And so it turns into a "Ghost" game.
When the issue is fixed, and the server is fed the new information about the ended game, is impossible to predict, but it may very well take a few hours, depending on the issue.

Same thing happen to me but in a rank game I won. But I didn't any LP at all.
This is also happening to my husband and I. We won a game and I left the game open waiting for the stats screen to show up, but it never did. So I skipped and reloaded League and now I get "Failed to connect - Unable to connect to the server. Please check your network connection and attempt to reconnect to your game." But the game no longer exists... it's been done since about 10am EST.
This is almost as annoying as laning top against a with a

Same issue here. Won a game, skipped stats, now I'm stuck in a non-existant game and can't get in to exit or start a new one.

Here is how to fix:
Press the "?" on the page with the big "Launch" button (the page you see before you login) and select "repair".
They say it will take a long time; this process took less than 5 minutes for me and I am now in a game.

Around 10 am i was in a ranked match and once me and my team won it wouldnt let me connect, i waited until now and it let me connect but when i looked at my history its not there, and i didnt get any lp...will i get my lp later on or...never? please someone tell me :([slayer-jinx-unamused]
Seriously, live maintenance is concluded and I am still stuck with "Reconnect" message. Is this going to be the end of me playing League? Could you please reset this bug?
i have a problem when i enter a game it says reconnect yet it does not reconnect , thisis the second game it happens in "ranked" f] and it was my placements . what can i do ? what should i do , and will i get demoted for being afk twice .[zombie-nunu-bummed]

UPDATE: just so all the people who are stuck in a ghost game can know. if you click the "?" icon on the launch screen for league and click the repair button it should fix the issue of ghost game reconnection I just did it and was successful. about to play a bot game and will come back to this post with results to see if further fixes are needed.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Ok, so for everybody that still has this issue try closing all league related processes from the task manager. Closing the client normally doesn't seem to help, but a couple of my friends have resolved the issue by force closing.
It seems like the issue spawns from trying to skip stats where the client doesn't sync properly with the server, I could be horribly wrong here but thats my understanding of the issue.
This is an issue that occurred fairly frequently in 2013, and from what I can tell this seems to still be the most reliable fix.
Same here, i finish my ranked game and won it, but my LP doesn't change and i can't find the match in match history as well. What could i do?

Is there any chance of me getting this win? It doesn't show up in my Match History. Or is it general knowledge that games like this are gone for good? I haven't had this happen before.
Also, after waiting in champ select im getting an error message saying the Kernel32.dll file no working or something, cant play lol at all. Been like this since the 6.6 update was fine 2 hours before hand.
Me too... I was playing game draft game with my friend, then at the end of the game, we saw the victory sign, but after we came back to client, it says we are is game still, My Summoner name is "pigsin" and my friend's Summoner name is "Jax mad movie" I hoped riot fix this bug so I can play game...
Same thing happened to me and a friend in ranked. The other team surrendered and then the game crashed. After that, the match didn't even show up in our history NOR DID WE EVEN GET THE LP FOR WINNING!
Try to switch server before logging on. It worked well for me (I switched to brazil then to EUW). No need to logg when you switched for the first time.
