Client lag (not in-game)

When I first boot the client, trying to navigate the interface is a total chore. It is very sluggish to respond to any click/mouse-over inputs. After selecting 'Play' and selecting a SR draft game type, when selecting positions, the wheel is off-set to the bottom right. The issue is very trying of my patience. However, after playing one game, it seems to be fixed.
