Brands ult bug

So i played a game against a today as . Things were going alright up until we hit level six. He ults me and I know im going to die, but he is low, so I ult him. I die, my ult hits him once and disappears instead of bouncing off the minion and hitting him again so I can get the kill. Why? Seriously, of all bugs, this has got to be the most stupidest one. Then I got behind and loss the game. Bad game. Fix the bug plz.
