possible zed ult shadow bug?

The last couple games i have played with zed i cannot return to my ult shadow after i use my ult. i understand that there is a .5 second delay before it can be recast but i waited until the death mark pop of my ult and still nothing. not sure if this was a bug or just me being dumb but has happened multiple games now.
