Black screen in champ select causing me to re-log-in and forces me with a ban timer

As I am entering champion select, my screen will go a darker color of normal champion select and will not allow me to select my champion or ban champions. I tried to minimize the window and re-open the window, but this did not fix the problem. So I am forced to log out and log back into the game. The first time this happened, I was stuck with a 5 minute waiting timer on my next match queue, then it happened again and now I am stuck with a 15 minute wait timer on my next game queue. What can I do to help fix this problem because i am sure i am not the only one?

I was having the issue on PBE and it just happened on Live so it must've been the new patch. Its really frustrating to deal with :/

This happens to me too, if you re log every game, it'll fix it, but if you change a summoner spell, or open up your masteries while your in pre game, it turns grey.

People are getting 20 minute timers because they are literally forced to leave the game, riot, please before you add a new implement to the game, make sure it's fixed before you add it on the live servers. The fuck is the pbe for?
