Ranked Queue Character Select Failure

I had queued up, solo, for a ranked normals game on Summoner Rift. I was third to pick, on blue side I believe. When it became my turn to pick, I could not pick. I scrolled down to Rengar, and he wasn't being selected, and he was not banned. After the timer reached zero, I was kicked out with a 5 minute ban for "leaving a game". I went back into ranked queue to see if it would happen again, but I was successful in that champ select, but quite annoyed because after one game, I lost my silver 4 promos. As of right now, I sit at 51 lp where as 1 game ago I was at 100.
