Submitted a bug on Shen a while ago, Its been a known bug for over 3 months.... (Hail of Blades Bug)

So I was making a new rune page one day, and i realized the amount of potential that Hail of Blades has on Shen, as it synergizes really well with his q. His q counts as a basic attack, not an ability, and I know this because frozen mallet passive works with it, and frozen mallet only procs off basic attacks, not abilities. So i try Hail of Blades out, and It simply doesn't go off... It legit doesn't proc off of Shen's q. This bug has a really weird effect though, when he uses his q, Shen doesn't get attack speed, but he swings his sword faster. If that makes sense. The physical swing is faster, but he cant attack again any quicker. Shen has to perform a normal basic attack and then use his q to make use of this keystone, which is terrible. PLEASE fix this bug!! I know that feeling. There are tons of bugs on Varus, and they aren't getting fixed either.

I posted them on Boards, Reddit and Bug Reports and still nothing (some of these bugs go back all the way to 18th of April from last year).

But hey, here's hoping they fix your bug. Have my upvote friend.

Riot games is a cesspool of incompetence .. think about it, in 13 years all they could come up with is a copy/paste dota, most of the champions are stolen from other games even some of the lore is stolen, nothing's original almost everything's STOLEN (intellectual theft, vivi final fantasy for example and warcraft/arthas lore, more people should just sue them)

They won't fix anything, lower your expectation (remember the rage blade bug ?! on yi it was dealing dmg to yi .. that bug took about 3+ months to fix) they'll probably never fix this bug, there's a higher chance the runes will get reworked AGAIN.

They only care about the lootbox ca$$ino not the game or the players/customers every once in a while there's an "ACCIDENT" and someone loses some money trying to buy a skin .. but don't worry they'll "fix" it soon .. or at least that's what they say in support.

Lots of bugs go unfixed for ages, Riot simply doesnt know how to fix many of them.

They remade Mordekaiser from scratch because it was too difficult, despite ....was it 2? Mini reworks.

Then there is still that bug with titanic hydra that´s been there since the item was added with a massive ATS slow for 1 auto after its activated.

Lots of people maining one champ or another also frequently make posts about various bugs but either get no answer or no fix is delivered.¨

Shen&hail of blades is far from the only thing left undone for ages :(

Don't worry it only took 6 months for them to fix the diana E bug that pushed enemies away instead of in, seriously they'll probably fix it but they merely adopted the spaghetti they were not born in it, molded by it like ~~Bane~~ italians so it may take a while.

On the topic of swinging faster but not attacking faster, it's giving him attack speed during the auto but not refreshing the CD faster, which is really odd but should be easy to fix.

I mean... Hail of Blades states that it activates when you hit an enemy with a basic attack. Shen's Q is an ability that applies on hit effects, it's not a basic attack so it should not apply HoB. No bug here. [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

It used to be amazing, then they made it so on-hit abilities don't consume a stack of Blades. (since you usually use it right after a basic attack) Well, shens Q is 3 on-hit abilities in a row, whoops!

Surprised they not only didn't realize it, but still haven't fixed it.

I agree completely. When you actually get it to work it feels awesome, however it should proc off of any auto attack shen does, including his Q.

In any tech environment, there is always more work to do than time to do it. Riot most likely has some form of ticketing system internally where they track reported bugs and flag them based off of severity, impact and complexity(time to fix). I would suspect that they work, like most tech groups, from top down.

This isn't what a person who knows a bug exists wants to hear.... but it's a reality of design. Unfortunately, this bug(if it is even counted as a bug - it may be WAI) sounds fairly low impact(one rune on one champ), not terribly severe(slightly reduced champ strength as opposed to like crashes, or an ability not working at all, etc.), and potentially fairly complex (since I remember them saying their system for abilities counting as attacks was awkward at one point - although they may have changed that since then). As a result, I would expect it to sit in the queue for a while.
