I have had this happen to me twice, once as Casseopeia and once as Zilean. Both times I also had a Seraph's Embrace. I have seen a Katarina on the other team with a Wooglet's that showed bonus AP.(http://i65.tinypic.com/14bi5ww.png)

Noticed it earlier, still getting the bonus for me though, just not showing it.
