Creppy Laugh?

While I've been playing league for the past few days, my past two games have had random evil sounding laughs? It only lasts for maybe two seconds but I'm starting to wonder if its because i have a virus on the computer or I've gone crazy. I even asked if my team mates heard it and they said no, but one of them said that he heard the evil laugh 5 games back. He speculated that it might be a champion teaser, but with the recent release of Ekko I'm not too sure. I was wondering if this laugh was from the game and if anyone else happen to hear it. Thoughts?

It's documented in the patch notes. The "cryptic" part. Probably a teaser for the next champion.

basically to activate it you must be in the river and do your laugh emot and then something will laugh back but it only happens once per person in a game so if you laugh with your champ in one game you will hear it but if you laugh again it wont come back till you make a new game and you are on the right track in terms of it being a teaser for something

When it was on the PBE it happened the first time you died in a game, then only if you do your /laugh emote in the river. There's a few rumors floating around as to what it could be

Yeah this happens to me every game on SR and no one else hears it as well.

I HEARD IT! i posted a discussion because no one knew what i was talking about. sounded kinda dark and mechanical?

my wife just went into a custom and tested it- it works! go to bot side river by the dragon pit, and spam your laugh a couple times

It happened to me some days ago, i thought it was something Thresh could do , as it sounded very similar to his voice. Hah.

Im guessing its a new Skin for a Champion like Hecarim , sounds like his voice if you ask me.

Some say that the evil laugh is for the gangplank update.. some say that it's a new darkin champion coming (which is possible considering there has been a few releases nearly back to back)
