Won Promotion Series, but didn't rank up

I won my promotion in silver IV and I thought I would rank up to silver V, but instead of that I was placed in silver III. Is there a reason for that?

Lower numbers are better when it comes to your rank.

Progression of divisions goes: V->IV->III->II->I

Silver V is below Silver IV. The higher you go in each division, the closer you get to 1.
