I can't send a gift

I've tried so many times to send a gift to my friend but i am not able to. I believe that this happens because I've recently added him to my friend list (approximately 11 hours ago). Do you believe that this is the problem or not?

Yes, you need to have them on your friends list for at least 24 hours before you can send them gifts.
