Support Form Fields Don't Have Background Color Set
I'm reposting this here from a Player Support ticket as per the request of someone on the Riot Tech Support Team.
The support.riotgames.com web form for submitting new support requests has fields (everything but Region, Language, and Category) with a font color set to black using CSS, but no background color set. My laptop's OS uses a red default text color and a dark grey default background color, which means that those fields of the web form render as black text on a dark grey background; this is somewhat hard to read.
This image shows how my web browser renders text boxes on the Riot Support pages (when the Stylish script I've written to address this is disabled). This one shows Firefox's DOM editor analyzing the text field; the field has black text due to a CSS entry, but there is no CSS to give that field a background color, and thus the background color is set to my OS's current default value. Finally, this one shows how the page changes when CSS is added through the DOM editor to explicitly give the text field a background color.
The screenshots are of Firefox, but this behavior also presents itself on IE. The same result doesn't happen on either Chrome or Opera, though; those two browsers have a user agent stylesheet that uses white instead of the OS default background color for the default color of textarea elements, which aesthetically works with the site's CSS.
I have set up a Stylish script that fixes this on my end. Assigning a background-color attribute to the CSS associated with ".form-field textarea, .form-field input" should address this for other users who have light-text-on-dark-background OS profiles, though it may be necessary to apply the background-color rule to the more generic "textarea" in order to handle elements from other areas of the website (such as the reply text box for support tickets).
