Game Crashed on Launch [Crash]
This is a direct copy of a bug report already submitted, they just suggested I make a forum post of my issue, so that is what I am doing.
Basically, after champion select, I got black screened instead of the loading screen, tried closing league and terminating all tasks in the task manager related to Riot, got the black screen 3 more times, finally loaded in, and at the end of the game got a delicious LeaverBuster warning.
So without further ado:
> I understand that my being unable to connect affected the other players, I am not contesting that, I am upset that I would get a leaverbuster warning for connectivity (or launching problems, which I will address later) when Riot specifically already stated that they were experiencing connection problems and looking into it. If Riot already acknowledges connection issues are pertinent at a certain time, players should not be penalyzed for those same issues. > > The problem I experienced went specifically like this: > 1) get game invite from friends > 2) join game with friends > 3) enter champion select (aram, can't remember which champion I got) > 4) countdown timer expires > 5) game launches > 6) black screen (loading screen never comes up) > 7) wait 5 minutes, loading screen still does not come up > 8) close league of legends, end all processes in task manager > 9) re-launch league of legends > 10) click "reconnect to game" > 11) black screen > 12) repeat steps 7-11 3 more times > 13) game loads > 14) play for 7 minutes > 15) game ends > 16) get leaverbuster warning > > I acknowledge that the issue may have been either related to the problems Riot has already acknowledged, or to some weird technical issue with the launcher. > > While I don't make a habbit of leaving games (and so this hasn't affected me), I also don't want it to count against me if it comes down to a crunch as I was completely not at fault for it. I also worry about other players who may be on the line and something like this happens to them. It would seem unjust to ban a player due to something they couldn't have prevented had they tried. > > I will be taking this to the bug report forums as you suggested, perhaps it may help (although I doubt it), but I will not be providing specs on my PC or network at the time as I was on skype with my team perfectly fine during the whole event and this seemed to be a one-time problem (joined a few other games just fine other than some massive latency spikes just afterwards [which other members of my team also experienced]).
