Connection dropped when opening browser

Whenever I queue up for a game and open chrome browser in the background it disconnects me from the game. It does not inform me of the DC until it times out in ban selection or champ selection. This only seems to happen if i am in queue or loading in to a game, lobby and during game I have no issues.
