Auto Attacks - Doing less damage than they say they should

Not minding the damage I just did, being 1 and 3 with two thirds of an item, but focusing on that flash auto attack. Veigar had 21 health after the combo, I flash autoed it said it did 48 damage, but Veigar survived with 4 health. I had 73 ad, my autos to minions did 78. Armour already had been taken effect on Veigar so that is not the issue. What is? 21 - 48 ≠ 4. No potions were being used as you can see on the top left as that could have been a factor (gaining around 30 health). Is there another factor I am not considering? or is this a bug?

Veigar's base armor stat is 22.55 with an increase of 3.75 per lvl. In this clip the Veigar is lvl 10 and did not level up therefore having a total of 56.3 armor at the time of your AA.

When your AA connects you have a total of 73 AD and using the damage reduction formula found on https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Armor your AA should do 63.97% damage if I understand this correctly.

Your AD is 73 * 0.6973 = 46.705 total damage done to Veigar which it shows in the clip with the little AD damage text showing 48 damage and yet Veigar with 21 hp survives the damage. Last time I checked 21 - 48 = -27 not 4. Seems like you got really unlucky here but I would love to hear what Riot has to say about that!

sooo veigar has 51 base armor at level 10

Which is 33% damage reduction... Your auto attack number poped up right. The only question is if he actually had enough hp to survive it.
