[Gameplay] Leaving base before the gates open/spawning outside of gates

I get put on a path towards the enemy fountain and am unable to switch course until the gates are opened. I don't remember what I was doing the first game but the second game I was clicking all the buttons on my mouse. Left/right click and mb4/5 which are set to mastery emote/dance respectively, but I had mb5 set to laugh in the soraka game. I have mastery 6 on both lulu and soraka. I went into a custom to test if I could replicate it again but was unable to.
