Ejected From a Game Entirely [CRASH, CLIENT]

I was in a ranked game a couple of days ago, and I was experiencing huge packet loss, so I quit the game so that I could rejoin in a minute. After quitting, I was brought to the home screen. I expected it to fix itself, and go to the RECONNECT button, but after about a minute and a half of waiting, it was still on the home screen. Naturally, I thought, "eh, must be a quick fix bug," and logged off to log back in. It was still stuck on the home screen like I was just waiting to go into my next game. I just decided it wasn't worth the headache and took the L for the game, thinking it was a one-time thing. Today, I discovered that it was in not a "one-time thing," as I was in the exact same situation as the first time, and it had the exact same result. Riot, can I get a fix? (I use a ~6 year old laptop that runs on Windows 7 which runs League fairly well most of the time)
