league not working on mac

i un-installed the game and reinstalled it because it was hella buggy (running it on a mac Mojave ), after i downloaded it from riot games it asks me to drag the launcher to applications then when it does i press it to open and nothing happens it just bounces down in my dock and the logo appears then it is not responding , checked for some solutions which suggested to open the content and open macos then open riot maccontainer which i found not on the league file( they are not even there ) so what is my solution how do i download the missing or files or there is another way to fix it , thanks in advance.
