[Gameplay] Tahm Kench eating kled during skarl's return

Just encountered something that I'm not 100% sure is a bug, possibly just a weird interaction. I was playing as tahm kench in the top lane, facing a kled. I had gotten him off his mount, then went in for an all-in. He was close to getting skarl back, but i thought i could kill him anyways. We trade, i get him to 3 stacks of my passive, and he gets full courage.

However, now is the weird interaction: Skarl was running to kled, but juuuuust b4 they touched, i used my w on him, and ate him. It still being lvl 1 w, it did not kill him, but when i spat him back out, skarl was nowhere to be found. He still had full courage, but no skarl hp, and no skarl running to him again. To be fair, he was only i aa from dead, so maybe i killed him b4 skarl could start running back, but it still seemed weird, so i thought i'd point it out incase that is bugged. Sorry for wasting your time if this is all working as intended.
