Malzahar's ult and Leona's Q...

So i have encountered two bugs within the past year of league that have really come to light the more I've matured as a player. As i love these champions I think that these bugs essentually overpower or weaken their gameplay. (Sorry about the fluff above)

First off with Malzahar's ult. When using e->w->r sometimes r refuses to suppress a target and they are still able to use abilities and aa while he is ulting.

With Leona's Q I realized that her q was proc'ing her passive which should not be possible as her passive clearly states that it can only be proc'd by allied champions and not leona herself. As well her w and e passive only proc on other champions and not Leona.

I have had these happen quite a bit within the past year as these are two of my favorite champions but I have only really noticed them recently.

Actually it's not a bug with Malzahar. If you CC him as he's ulting (or if somebody else CCs him) it breaks the suppression. I watched a Lux vs Malz game where Lux threw her snare right as Malz was ulting so that she threw the snare before his ult, but the snare hit after his ult locked onto her. Because Malzahar was CCd it removed the suppression on the ulted Lux even though she would continue to take damage until she left the cast range.

You see Malzahar's ult is a channeled ability. Both the suppression and the damage are channeled separately though. What this means is that if you cancel the ability both of them are canceled, if an ally blitz were to pull the ulted target away they would lose the damage but keep the surpression, and if Malzahar was CCd (because he has to suppress himself to suppress you) the suppression on the target ends but the tether doesn't (aka it basically becomes a higher damage fiddle drain without the heal latched on). The reason it looks weird is because hard CC will both stop the supression and the channel whereas soft CC (like a root) will stop the suppression but Malz doesn't lost his channel. That is how it is intended to work.

I also don't believe that Leona is able to proc her own passive with her Q, she should instead refresh the timer on her Sunlight so there is absolutely no way that her Q AA should leave the unit without her passive on it. What you're probably looking at is the extra M Damage from her Q stun as the 'sunlight proc' when it's not.
