Half second freeze on click while in-game

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Processor: AMD FX-8800P Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G (4 CPUs), ~2.1GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 7128MB RAM Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M385X

So far, this issue happens no matter what champion I play as. When I click on an enemy champion to attack or to use an ability on, the game will freeze for a split second, frame rate dropping to 0 before returning to a steady 60.

This doesn't happen when assisting friendly champions or when attacking towers/minions/jungle.

Strangely, this didn't happen until a couple of updates ago. Any quick fixes/tips are appreciated.

UPDATE

My laptop is an AMD APU + GPU combo, "switchable graphics". I decided to run LoL off of the R7 (APU) instead of the M385X (GPU) by switching LoL to "Power Saving" in the Switchable Graphics settings within the Radeon Application.

With LoL set to Power Saving mode, I no longer have the half second freeze when clicking on or using skills on enemy champions. I will continue testing and provide updates.
