5+ Second game freezes randomly on medium/high end system

I recently upgraded my system cpu to an AMD R7 1700, and ever since the upgrade whenever i play league, the game will randomly freeze for up to five seconds at a time, my client does not allow me to interact at all, and more often than not my last input click puts me out of position, and into certain death. It only happens about once or twice per 20-30 minute league matches, but has made me lose games. I have no reproducible steps to make it happen, it is completely random. Mobo is an X370 Asrock board, 16 GB DDR4 @ 2133 mhz, and an MSI R9 380 4GB for my gpu. my cpu is OC'ed to 3.5 Ghz on all cores, stock cooling, i have yet to see it go over 65C. Never had this issue before with my old cpu, A10-7700k w/ 8 GB DDR3 1600Mhz.

EDIT 1: Looks like uninstalling and reinstalling the game fixed it, League must have some thing in the installer that detects your hardware and installs the most optimal version of league for your specific computer.
