Does anyone know if either of the games work with WINE or if it is planned to have a non windows port? Also curious about macOS too. Maybe riot could release a app image with WINE like the lutris one.

I have started to experiment with wine, I am able to get the installer running, simply 'wine Legends_Of_Runeterra.exe' but it won't start the game after it. Also this setup installs "Riot Client", into C:/Riot Games/, but there is no executable to run the LoR directly, only "RiotClientServices.exe" which can be started but just throws it couldn't start the game like this and then reports something. I am now running the launcher in virtual w10 to see if I can extract any more information and/or files.

Adding my wish for an Ubuntu LoR.

I play LoL through snap (not sure if that is an officially vetted way of installing?) but it works perfectly fine.

Would love to play LoR on my main PC's (Ubuntu 18.04+) too.

UPDATE After running installer, one can get the launcher running by doing 'wine "C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices.exe" --launch-product=bacon --launch-patchline=live'

I have also made fresh .wine/ prefix, installed all fonts from winetricks and installed libraries from one of PlayOnLinux profiles to run LoL https://github.com/networkjanitor/leaguealpha/blob/master/hyperfang8

After it the launcher won't load.

All I know is we (linux users) won't get enything if we don't voice our needs, so I came here to express my need of LoR on Linux. The game looks veery promising, and I'd love to play it and pay for it. But I won't do it if I had to switch to my (soon unsupported) Windows 7.
