Pretty much the title. I've had several games are Brand where I'll die, immediately purchase (out of habit), and I believe my DoT ticking counts as a "game influencing action", therefore not permitting me to undo the purchase. It's happened several times.
ShishiAnnie3 votesThe reason is quite simple. Items purchased that boost your AP (Ability Power) increase the strength of your DoT ticks. Therefore you could let's say buy Void Staff or Deathcap, get some high damage ticks in and then undo the purchase and buy whatever else. So you'd cheat your DoT damage. Sorry but this sounds intended, not a bug.
Reschey1 votesI don't think that's the case, Brand's DoT ticks are based off enemies' max health and so is Liandry's(current health). Also, if you use a spell, even Dot(like Malz E), the damage will be base off your current AP no matter what. Example - Malz has 300 AP an Es on a target before baron buff, 1 second later he gets baron buff having a total of 340 AP. The damage of his E will still be based on when Malzahar had 300 AP. Kinda like Teemo, if you look it up you'll find out that the damage of his mushrooms will be determined by his current AP at the time of DETONATION.
TraakSC1 votesThe other day someone posted that they couldn't use the redo function at the shop because they went stealth (as Teemo) after purchasing. Just wanted to add that here in case this is a legit bug affected more than just DoT's.
