I can't play any games

~~~~ So my game starts and I can even get into a lobby, but when the countdown reaches zero my game just instantly stops working and my screen goes black as if the loading screen is going to pop up but instead my screen stays black. I have waited up to two hours for to at least join the game assuming its my connection but I was able to play my steam games just fine. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it once and it still hasn't worked any suggestions?
